Term extrauterine pregnancy in a Nigerian mother: a complication of uterine dehiscence.Adesiyun AG, Audu AI Department of Obstetrics Gynaecology, Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria/P.O. Box 204, Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria, biyi.adesiyun@yahoo.com. Abdominal pregnancy is an uncommon but life-threatening form of ectopic pregnancy. It is associated with high maternal/fetal morbidity and mortality. We present a rare case of term abdominal pregnancy resulting from anterior uterine wall dehiscence, in a 36-year-old woman with three previous caesarean sections. The diagnosis was made at laparotomy for the fourth "caesarean section". Published 1 May 2008 in Arch Gynecol Obstet.
